Description:

Egyptian, Middle Kingdom, 12th to 13th Dynasty, ca. 1991 to 1649 BCE. A lovely and wearable necklace comprised of ancient spherical amethyst beads, strung in modern times and alternating with modern gold spacer beads. The end of the wire is capped with a lobster clasp, making this easy to wear and accessorize with. The deep purple stone beads were highly polished and drilled from both sides, meeting at the center, partially visible on some of the slightly more translucent stones. Size (necklace): 25" L (63.5 cm); (largest amethyst bead): 0.50" W (1.3 cm); gold quality: 44% & to 52% (10K+ to 12K+)
