Description:

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Guangala or Machalilla, ca. 1500 BCE to 100 CE. A simplified pottery figure with a flattened head and thick cylindrical body, featuring a pair of petite breasts. The figure is mounted on a wooden base with putty, allowing for easy removal to examine all sides. Size: 3" W x 7.5" H (7.6 cm x 19 cm); 9.25" H (23.5 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Bethesda, Maryland, USA collection, acquired via inheritance; ex-private USA collection, acquired in 1977
