A remarkable necklace featuring eighty shell beads, each one impressively string-cut into virtually identical, janus-headed caiman/amphibian forms, of creamy hues with hints of pink and tawny beige, neatly spaced via tube-shaped gold beads with a modern clasp. A rare piece of wearable art from the ancients of Colombia. Size: strand measures 19" L (48.3 cm), shell beads measure ~ 1.375" (3.5 cm)
