Ancient Near East, the Levant, Canaan, Middle Bronze Age, ca. 1950 to 1539 BCE. A cast-bronze dagger blade of elongated triangular form with a slight midrib and a pointed tip. A petite tang extends from the bottom of the shoulder to show where its owner would have gripped it, and a pair of rivets illustrate how panels of wood or bone were attached. Size: 10" L x 1.75" W (25.4 cm x 4.4 cm)
