Ancient Central Asia, Bactria, ca. 2100 to 1600 BCE. A discoid stamp seal carved from light gray steatite with a scalloped edge surrounding the periphery and an integral handle on the topside. Inscribed on the stamp face is a right-facing Bactrian camel with slender legs, a raised head, and a signature pair of humps, with vegetation outlining the top of the creature, and a zigzagging band in front of his curved neck. Size: 2.25" W x 1.25" H (5.7 cm x 3.2 cm)
