Central Asia, Bactria / Bactriana, stretching north of the Hindu Kush, west of the Pamirs and south of the Gissar range, covering the northern part of Afghanistan, southwestern Tajikistan and southeastern Uzbekistan, ca. 3rd millennia BCE. Unusual carved stone stamp seal in rectangular form on one side, square table on the other. Each table carved with geometric designs, the square side more elaborate with 4 arms with sail or anchor-like terminals. Small animal incised to side near suspension hole. Size: 1.125" W x .625" H (2.9 cm x 1.6 cm)
