Ancient Near East, Anatolia, ca. 1200 BCE. A hand-carved black stone cylinder seal of slender form bearing the incised image of large figures, perhaps gods or goddesses, standing amongst more petite human figures as well as petite quadrupeds. Each of the larger figures holds a branch or staff, and a band of stippling lines the top. A suspension hole is drilled lengthwise through the body. Custom putty rollout included. Size: 1.26" L x 0.45" W x 0.44" H (3.2 cm x 1.1 cm x 1.1 cm)
