Description:

Asia Minor, Anatolia, ca. late 2nd to early 1st millennium BCE. A short wheel-thrown terracotta redware bowl with a small, concave foot, wide walls with a rolled shoulder, an upturned rim, a deep interior cavity, and twin applied curved handles. The bowl has a lustrous orange-red color, and would have been used as a personal serving bowl. Size: 3" H (7.6 cm).

Provenance: private Orange County, California collection, acquired before 2000
