Description:

Central Asia, Amlash culture, ca. 1400 to 1000 BCE. A mold-formed askos modeled after a standing bull with four stocky feet, a cylindrical body with several textured ribs, a conical tail with a flared fill hole above, a small loop handle centered on the back, and a petite pouring spout. The spout takes the form of an abstract, upturned bull head displaying incised eyes, a pair of horns, and a circular mouth. The pale-orange exterior imbues this vessel with a classic Amlash presentation. Size: 6" L x 4.25" H (15.2 cm x 10.8 cm).
