Description:

Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Amlash culture, ca. early 1st millennium BCE. A cast-bronze stand formed via the lost wax technique that depicts a pair of ram-headed terminals. Beneath each ram head is a rectangular base, and the elongated bodies are conjoined in the middle via a protruding ring. Fine patina covers the entire composition in dark layers of green and brown. Size: 3.6" L x 0.9" H (9.1 cm x 2.3 cm)

  • Condition: Slight bending to overall form, with softening to some finer details, and light encrustations atop ram heads, otherwise intact and very good. Great patina throughout.
