Description:

Ancient Near East, Anatolia, Syro-Hittite, ca. late 3rd to early 2nd millennium BCE. An interesting cast-copper figural idol of a highly abstract form with a pin-shaped body, laterally protruding arms with tapered hands, and a thick neck. The elongated conical head features bulging eyes, a pointed nose, an incised smile, and one pierced ear with a spiraling earring, all beneath a tiered cap. Thick green and brown patina envelops the figure and imbues it with an attractive presentation evocative of ancient Anatolia! Size: 1.1" W x 2.625" H (2.8 cm x 6.7 cm); 3" H (7.6 cm) on included custom stand.
