Anatolia, present-day Turkey, ca. 2800 to 2200 BCE. This is a white-grey quartzite kilia head with the classic pointed chin feature. Kilia are highly stylized female figures made throughout the Mediterranean during the Chalcolithic and Early Bronze Age. They are characterized by bulbous heads, long necks, and flat bodies with wide, flipper-like arms. Size: 1" W x 0.75" H (2.5 cm x 1.9 cm)
