Native American, Southwestern United States, Mesa Verde region, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 900 to 1300 CE. A pottery bowl formed via the coil-and-scrape technique bearing an elaborate register of black-painted geometric motifs around the interior walls. Decorating the center of the basin is a petite frog with extended arms, a delineated phallus, and a diamond-shaped head. Size: 7.125" Diameter x 3.4" H (18.1 cm x 8.6 cm)
