Native American, Southwestern United States, Arizona, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), ca. 1100 CE. A charming pitcher of squat form that is hand-built via the coil-and-scrape technique. Intricate black decorations form bands of rectangles, triangles, and vertical columns across the neck and body, and behind is a thick handle adorned with additional black stripes.
