Description:

Central High Atlas Mountains, Middle Jurassic, ca. 172 to 168 million years ago. This ENORMOUS mass cluster includes 28 different COMPLETE ammonite sea life fossils in the finest preservation, found in the Central High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Ammonites make a pleasing interior accent decor fossil but the size and concentration of these superb and scarce types makes this one of the best architectural accent fossils not only for its size and quality, but for the rarity of the individual specimens. The slab is so large, it is like a wall of ammonites. The back is flat and has been epoxy-reinforced. This piece could be either hung on a wall or set on a stand but it comes without either so the end buyer can custom tailor the application of this specimen. The range of species of these varies but includes rare examples of Emileia bulligeraa, Sonninia papillata, Harpoceras, Lytoceras, Stephanoceras sp., Witchellia sayni and Shirbuirnia trigonalis, natilus sp.. Each ammonite is an excellent example of their respective species, in full three dimensional nature without any deformation. The ammonites all have full high relief and on the matrix, the group displays as a superb multi-dimensional display that MUST be seen in person to fully grasp and appreciate. This exceptional fossil ammonite group is far nicer than it appears in the photos. These species are all found together in the Middle Jurassic Bajocian sediments of the Central High Atlas mountains in Morocco and all come from the same site but they have partially been assembled onto the rock with others. Each ammonite shows rare shell detail. Perfect to accompany any advanced fossil marine life collection as well as a stunning and highly unique interior design fossil of pure natural history! ALL AMMONITES ARE 100% GENUINE AND FROM THE SAME DEPOSIT. Size: 36" H x 26-1/2" W (91-1/2 cm x 67 cm) overall; ammonites range from 12-1/2" to 2" (32 cm x 5 cm) across.
