Description:

Near East, Iran, Amlash/Marlik, ca. 1200 to 1000 BCE. Cast bronze chariot having two horses attached by an ancient wire to the chariot. Rather crudely cast with most mold seams left uncleaned. Overall encrusted surface patina. Still nice and rare to find! Size: Chariot and horses together measure 4" L x 2" W x 2.5" H (10.2 cm x 5.1 cm x 6.4 cm)

Provenance: Ex-private Connecticut collection, acquired from Henry Anavian before 1980.
