Description:

West Africa, Nigeria, Yoruba, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A pair of hand-carved wooden ibeji twin figures, both nude males presenting with delineated feet and arms. Their feet are adorned in sandals while their bodies display triangular medallions, beaded strands around their waists, and tripartite coiffures bearing dark blue pigment. Size of each (both are relatively similar): 3.125" L x 3.4" W x 11.9" H (7.9 cm x 8.6 cm x 30.2 cm)
