A ceremonial staff known as an Ose Shango featuring a Janiform head - that of the thunder god Shango - as the central element covered in typical Yoruba blue pigment. The double axe symbol above the head pertains to thunderstones, the sources of destructive power of the thunder god. Size: 2" L x 4.6" W x 14.75" H (5.1 cm x 11.7 cm x 37.5 cm)
