China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 14th to 17th century CE. A very fine offering plate with stacked walnuts, covered in green and golden Sancai glaze. Walnuts look very realistic and much finer than one normally sees. Trays of food like this were often left in the tombs of the more elite members of the dynasty. Size: 4.375" W x 2.75" H (11.1 cm x 7 cm)
