Description:

Europe, France, Acheulian Period, ca 100,000 to 40,000 BCE. Just imagine, when this was made and used, it probably was held by a species of "man" that no longer exists. Neanderthal axe blade of a gorgeous golden flint with minimal but certainly evident knapping on both front and back and feels wonderful in your hands. This will most likely be the earliest piece of ancient "art" in your collection and probably the only one made by a Neanderthal. Size: 3.5" L x 2" H (8.9 cm x 5.1 cm)
