Description:

Western Europe, Medieval period, ca. 8th to 12th century CE. A fine array of five arrow tips of various shaped blades with long thin tangs. Two are rhomboid shapes and the others are petaloid with long blades and pointed tips. Two are very pointed with thick blades, and the rest are relatively flat. The surfaces of all have developed a rich patina and their forms are well preserved. These tips are a great example of the variety of shapes that medieval arrowheads came in. These tips may have been mounted to a wooden shaft using sinew, cord, or even hide glue! Size of largest: 4.875" L x .75" W (12.4 cm x 1.9 cm)
