Ancient Near East, Islamic or Byzantine, ca. 6th to 8th century CE. A lovely bangle bracelet composed of yellow-green glass that is painted with red, blue-green, and soft yellow hues to create broad chevron motifs. The exterior surfaces of the accessory are quite smooth and exhibit a raised midrib that courses around the circumference. Areas of rainbow-hued iridescence imbue this bracelet with a gorgeous presentation evocative of the resplendence of the ancient Near East! Size: 3.3" W (8.4 cm); (interior): 2.8" W (7.1 cm)
