Description:

Ancient Seas, North America, South Carolina, Middle Miocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 28 to 2.6 million years ago. Check out the grills on this hip shark! This is a fossilized tooth from a prehistoric megalodon shark that has been enhanced by an inlay of pyrite. The enamel has been left untouched, displaying the natural warm orange hues and serrated edges, which gives great contrast to the root. The matte root has been given a layer of black resin and inlaid with large pyrite chips, then polished to a glassy surface. This unique tooth may not be accepted by purists looking for untouched teeth, but this is a fresh take. While some polished teeth try to disguise blemishes, this one draws attention to the dental work! A cool addition to any prehistoric collection! Size: 5.33" L x 3.8" W (13.5 cm x 9.7 cm)
