Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Navajo, Hopi, & Tohono O'odham (Papago), ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A collection of three hand coiled basketry bowls / tray made from bundles of native plants and willow. The shallow and broad tray is possibly Paiute or Navajo, the rim end is finished a braid. The plain bowl is likely Hopi made, and the last few inches of the rim tip is finished in a short braid. The last bowl with a geometric motif is probably Tohono O'odham (Papago) made. Size of Papago bowl: 6.25" Diameter x 3" H (15.9 cm x 7.6 cm); Navajo tray: 8" Diameter x 2" H (20.3 cm x 5.1 cm)
