Pre-Columbian, Peru, Inca Empire, ca. 1200 to 1500 CE. A set of 3 textile coca bag panels created from tightly-woven camelid wool fibers dyed in hues of crimson, marigold, azure, and dark gray. Each panel features lengthy tassels to create it's own bag when the sides were folded together or could be sewn to a second panel to create a larger, more traditional vessel for transporting coca leaves. Size of largest: 15.25" L x 14.375" W (38.7 cm x 36.5 cm)
