Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. late 1st millennium BCE. An attractive trio of bronze bells, each of spherical form with a slit along the bottom, three suspension loops - 2 petite loops on each side of the slit and a larger loop at the top. A bull head with large horns decorates one side of all three bells. Size of largest: 2" L x 1.5" Diameter (5.1 cm x 3.8 cm)

  • Condition: Clapper balls are missing, and bells do not function. Missing small loop on the side of largest bell. Abrasions and chips to surfaces. Earthen / mineral deposits on the surfaces of all, and nice patina.
