Near East, Ancient Anatolian and Persian cultures, Luristan / Achaemenid / Elamite, late Bronze to Iron Age, ca. 2000 to 400 BCE. A collection of ancient copper and bronze spear heads. The largest is cast from copper with rounded shoulders, prominent midrib, and short hafting neck. The other 2 have slender tangs for attaching to wooden shafts, and the bronze mid-sized spear has a lovely blue patina. Size: 9" L x 1.5" W (22.9 cm x 3.8 cm)

Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 1980
