Central Asia, Tibet, 20th century. A nicely framed Tibetan woodblock depicting the Wind Horse (center) surrounded by four animals of the cardinal directions -Garuda and Dragon (upper corners), Snow Lion and Tiger (lower corners) - with accompanying text. In this context, the wind horse is depicted without wings but carries the wish fulfilling jewel. It symbolizes peace, harmony, and prosperity. This print is set in an attractive custom frame adorned with beautiful carving as well as decorative appliques at each corner. Size: 11.375" L x 13.375" W (28.9 cm x 34 cm) Size of frame: 19" L x 23" W (48.3 cm x 58.4 cm)
