Native American, Southwestern United States, Santo Domingo Pueblo, ca. mid-20th century CE. An attractive and wearable necklace formed with dozens of heishi shell, bone, and greenstone beads in hues of creamy white, brown, and deep green. The stand is symmetrically strung with brown heishi, spherical brass, and tubular bone beads, and a section of white shells just after the terminal tips. The strand is graduated with greenstones then white shell heishi at the center. A trio of greenstone jacla pendant beads adorn the center and create the focal point of this lovely ensemble. The terminals of the necklace are fastened with a loop and hook, making this a wearable piece! Size of strand: 20" L (50.8 cm); greenstone jacla beads: 1" L x 0.6" W (2.5 cm x 1.5 cm)
