Description:

Pacific Northwest Coast, ca. mid 20th century CE. A bentwood style box comprised of red cedar and painted on the two larger faces with totemic animals in traditional red and black pigments. On the underside of the base is a stylized "LVL" stamp, possibly a mark for Louis V. Larsen, a wood carver of Western Washington who has a box of his in the Burke Museum at the University of Washington in Seattle. Size: 4.5" L x 6.75" W x 4.625" H (11.4 cm x 17.1 cm x 11.7 cm)
