Native American, Southwestern United States, ca. 20th century CE. A sterling silver (93% silver) ring with turquoise inlays and a shell spiral. The rounded shank which has been polished to a smooth surface widens to a band inlaid with mottled blue and green hues from the turquoise. At the center is a slice of shell with the spiral displayed to form the mesmerizing focal point of this ring. The shell is flush with the rest of the surface.
