Description:

Native American, New Mexico, Santo Domingo Pueblo, ca. 20th century CE. A large and highly-burnished terracotta bowl with a flat base, rolling walls, a deep interior cavity, and a thin rim. The upper exterior rim displays a decorative register of abstract geometric designs in hues of cream, umber, and jet, while the interior cavity and exterior base are colored with an umber pigment. A signature "BHG" is inscribed on both the exterior surface walls and the base; the base signature is faded. Size: 6.75" Diameter (17.1 cm).
