Native American, Southwestern United States, Arizona, Phoenix, Peeposh / Piipaash (Maricopa) & Pima people, ca. mid-20th to 21st century CE. A collection of 3 handmade pottery vessels by Maricopa artists and Warren Oliver (1964 to present), a Pima potter. The tall vase is signed on the base with Oliver's initials, the deep umber red hue is decorated with triangular and spiraling motifs painted in black pigments. The other two pots are unsigned and exhibit the classic Maricopa sienna color embellished with black triangular patterns. Size (Oliver vase): 5.5" Diameter x 7.75" H (14 cm x 19.7 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Bishop Family Trust collection, the Trust of the late Bill Bishop, a noted antiquarian with shops in Scottsdale, Arizona and Allenspark, Colorado, USA, acquired before 2010
