Latin America, Mexico, ca. mid 20th century CE. An endearing hand-carved and hand-painted wooden parrot head mask, its visage presenting large red eyes, a long curved green beak with a slightly open mouth, eye holes for the wearer to see, and a beautiful golden yellow feathery coat delineated with incised and black outlined diamond motifs. There are also perforations on the sides to secure to the wearer. Size: 20" L x 8.5" W (50.8 cm x 21.6 cm)
