**Originally Listed At $300**

Latin America, Mexico, ca. 20th century CE. An interesting wood and folk-art carving of two devils painted on a simple wooden rod upon a base. The figures are both nude with vibrant red skin, black hair, and bared white teeth. The depiction of devils was popular in rural Mexico, blamed for accidents and mishaps, devils embodied rude manners and illicit sexual activities - hinted at by the position of the male devil's hand in this depiction. Size: 2" W x 8.5" H (5.1 cm x 21.6 cm)
