Native American, Western United States, Plains Tribes, Western Sioux, Lakota / Dakota people, ca. mid-20th century CE. A pair of hand-built hide moccasins that are perhaps well-worn. The supple leather is still pliable with a tie near the bottom of the upper opening, and the topsides are embellished with elaborate beadwork in hues of green, orange, blue, red, and pink on a white ground. Size of each: 11" L x 4.5" W x 3.25" H (27.9 cm x 11.4 cm x 8.3 cm)
