Native American / First Nations, Canada or Alaska, Inuit culture, ca. 20th century CE. A fascinating stone sculpture portraying a figure in the midst of a spiritual transformation with a body reminiscent of a mountatin as polar bears climb over his anthropomorphic head and serpent slithers up the other side. An additional anthropomorphic face emerges from the proper right side with a flat, annular object below, perhaps intended as a drum, and a bear-like arm bends at the proper left. Size: 6.4" L x 9.8" W x 14" H (16.3 cm x 24.9 cm x 35.6 cm)
