Description:

**First Time At Auction**

Indonesia, Borneo, Central Kalimantan, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A finely-made hat comprised of woven reeds and rattan fibers, its interior headband lining a thick, bent reed. Three strips of red-dyed reeds adorn the exterior perimeter with another trio curving across the top. The top of the hat is embellished with a dark-brown circle around the top of the exterior, alternating between it and the natural wheat hue, and a solid brown circle rests in the center. Twin crescent-form boar's tusk ornaments hang diagonally on either lateral side, each complemented by a pair of smaller boar's teeth. Wearable and uniquely-stylish, this is a fantastic accessory to any ensemble! Size: 7.25" W (18.4 cm).
