North America, Pacific Northwest, Haida, ca. mid-20th century CE. A beautiful, lidded, spruce box clad in gorgeous embossed copper sheet on the lid and sides, with soft leather lining the interior. Traditionally, wooden boxes were used for storing and serving water and foodstuffs. Today, many are made as beautiful pieces of art. The sides are decorated with the stylized animal figures including a large bear head on the front face. Size: 3.8" L x 5.75" W x 2.55" H (9.7 cm x 14.6 cm x 6.5 cm)
