Description:

Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Bali, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A fine set of three hand-carved wooden hanging wall decorations adorned with vibrant polychrome pigments and each bearing three mirrored glass discs within floral frameworks. First is a female with arms raised on either side of her eccentric headdress; second is a male with wide eyes and a slender mustache; and the largest is a female figure with arms lowered behind the central flower. These figures perhaps represent ceremonial dancers or religious figures based on their attire and colorful embellishments.
