Africa, Burkina Faso, Lobi culture, ca. 1st quarter of the 20th century. Fine and clearly very early wooden slingshot. Carved in the form of a standing nude female, her thin arms are behind her back, long thin legs held the rubber cord. Nice patina from use. Size: 10.875" H (27.6 cm)

Provenance: Ex Peter Arnovick Collection, Los Altos CA. Mr. Arnovick was a well known and well respected dealer and collector of ancient and ethnographic cultures from all over the world.
