Roman, Imperial Period, ca. late 2nd century CE. A fine Commodus AR Denarius struck from high-grade (93%) silver with the Emperor's face on one side and a "Flying Victory" on the verso. The coin is set in a modern 20K+ gold discoid setting with a thick frame and a petite suspension loop on top. Size: 0.8" W x 1.2" H (2 cm x 3 cm); quality of silver: 93%; quality of gold: 20K+; total weight: 8.6 grams.
