Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE; Aztec, ca. 1200 to 1500 CE. A set of 2 hand-built copal burners from the ancient Teotihuacan culture, each with a pair of deep cavities meant to hold the incense. Also included are 2 hand-built pottery pipe bowls from the Aztec Empire, the largest with an expressive anthropomorphic face protruding from the front. Size of largest: 4" L x 2.75" W x 2.5" H (10.2 cm x 7 cm x 6.4 cm)
