Native American, Northeastern United States / Canada, Iroquois peoples, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE; Northwestern United States, Columbia River Plateau region, Nez Perce, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A pair of beaded cloth and leather Iroquois moccasins and a pair of leather moccasins from the Nez Perce with a simple sun burst pattern beaded on the toes. Both are worn and child sized. Size of Nez Perce pair: 6.5" L x 2.5" W (16.5 cm x 6.4 cm)

  • Condition: Worn condition. Iroquois moccasins are heavily worn on the sole and have fraying / tears to cotton and velvet upper. The leather sole has holes from old inactive insect activity. Beading is largely intact. The Nez Perce moccasins are have discoloration and staining, but otherwise intact. Red ink stains on the soles and toe.
