Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Vicus-Frias culture, ca. 100 to 300 CE. A pair of adorable parrot amulets or perhaps tupu finials, made from electum (gold-silver alloy), the thin sheets molded into heads and the wings and tail punched with feather patterns and stippling. They are mounted on a tree branch shaped display stand - an enchanting presentation for these birds. Size: 1.25" L x 0.3" W (3.2 cm x 0.8 cm); 3.5" H (8.9 cm) on included custom stand; electrum quality: 48% to 61% gold (equivalent to 11K+ to 14K+), 21% to 26% silver; total weight: 3.4 grams
