Kojima Tokujiro (Japanese, 1912-1996). "Sparrows and Willow (Yanagi ni Tsubame)" and "Early Spring (Soshun)" woodblock prints, n.d. Artist's seal beneath each image. A wonderful pair of screen prints by Japanese artist, Kojima Tokujiro, best known for his kimono and obi patterns. "Sparrows and Willow" features a trio of sparrows inflight amongst the sinuous, cascading branches of a willow tree. Alternatively, "Early Spring" displays a pair of sparrows perched in the maze-like branches of a blossoming tree with a Japanese cottage in the background. Size (both the same): 13" W x 17.5" H (33 cm x 44.4 cm)
