Native American / First Nations, Northwest Coast United States, Alaska & Canada, Inupiaq/Inuit people, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A pair of hand-carved stone creatures - a standing anthropomorphic serpentine rabbit and a soapstone otter / beaver / abstract sea mammal. The rabbit has faint Inuktitut initials and perhaps the numbers "88" for the year, the other carving is probably a few decades older and has disc numbers and Inuktitut syllabic script. Size of otter: 11.25" L x 4.5" W x 2.5" H (28.6 cm x 11.4 cm x 6.4 cm)
