Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque (Jama Coaque), ca. 500 BCE to 500 CE; West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A set of 4 hand-built pottery whistles from ancient Mexico and Ecuador. First are 2 Colima whistles: a zoomorph with incised striations, and a canteen-shaped whistle with side nodules. The 2 Jamacoaque whistles depict an abstract seal as well as a petite bird, each with remains of green and orange pigment. Size of largest (canteen): 1.9" L x 1.75" W x 2.5" H (4.8 cm x 4.4 cm x 6.4 cm)
