Central Asia, Turkoman, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. An elegant pair of Tekke Turkoman Turkmen gilt silver cuff bracelets with central oval lapis lazuli stones boasting vibrant hues of cobalt blue with natural inclusions of creamy white and lustrous gold. Both bracelets present triangular termini, each embellished with three silver granules. A decorative border of repeated rings adorns the bracelets' peripheries, and a lovely geometric pattern of circles and rhombi surrounds the lapis lazuli stones, which are set in high bezels with beaded borders. Metal quality: silver: 80%, gilding: 31% gold; Size of largest (both roughly the same size): 2.5" L x 1.875" W (6.4 cm x 4.8 cm); total weight (both): 61.1 grams

  • Condition: Collection label on interior of both. Both have some smoothing to motifs on the front and light nicks on interior, but overall both are in fine condition with nicely preserved details and lovely patina. Fine hammer marks on interior.
