Central Asia, Tibet, ca. 19th century CE. A gorgeously polished, dark wood bottle, cylindrical and gently tapering from a flat base up to a sloping shoulder with a double incised band around it. Sheet copper has been wrapped around the mouth of the bottle and extends upward to form a large mouth with a deep rim. Made to hold offerings. Size: 3.7" W x 8.05" H (9.4 cm x 20.4 cm)
